I do understand your point of view but if we all would still work in the way as 2004 we wouldn't have any customers on here. 2004 there were only view sites in the adult industry, there were search machines and with 10$ one could do a google add and gain new customers. But nowadays google is hardly affordable way for a website to get traffic. And TRAFFIC is the magical word. The site and also you need new traffic to your profile or sales would break off and won't increase.
Also just look back some years, noone knew that we would ever access the internet sitting in the fields looking at a mobile. Men are in the office, looking at twitter and facebook seeing what's new. Especially the last 3-5 years the numbers of adult website has increased by a high number. So tweeting is not just a thing about does someone buy your membership or mine. Tweeting, facebook and the other social medias is about does someone click on Southern-Charms or Pornhub, Brazzers, Xhamster or whatever. The competition is massive.
So thanks to every girl that tweets daily the site gets TRAFFIC.
And yes, the may buy your video instead of mine. But that is not the issue as he may have decided that he loves bigger boobs, black hair or your sparkiling eyes - whatever. The main thing is that he becomes a member of the site and then he will search daily updates and who knows at a later stage come to me again. It is all on the amount of new men we get to the site to keep the site running.
Some of you may also think and why shall I retweet and mention others. I want only my members, my fans and don't want to market otthers. I restarted to do more tweets in 2016. When I looked around I've seen accounts with 30k, 50k and more followers. I looked what are they doing? Mentioning and retweet.
So for those who don't understand why retweeting, mentioning and comments are important here a short explanation:
Let's say my twitter profile is my house door. I will put some of those little notepads on my door, those Post-it sticky. I will write on them today @HotMature50 done a new video. Everyone who walks past will see my post at my door. But the ones in the next road, village or country won't know anything about it because they never walk past my house. So somone will take a sticker from my door and put it on his house door in the village - the other one will take it home to US and stick it there on his door. So that is retweeting. And the more "stickers" are on different doors (retweets) the more peoples will see that I have done a new movie, see my profile name and come back to me.
That means if you walk allone you won't win in nowaydays fast internet business. I have grown in 12 month around 10k followers by mentioning others, liking, commenting, adding hashtags. You don't have to do that like me 2-3 hours a day as I earn money of other sites by bringing traffic to them so called affilaters. But if you do 5 tweets every day, retweet 5, mention 5 accounts (best accounts who also retweet) you will see your income rising.
I hope I could give you a new view on todays internet. It is a big soup of sites and every sites needs massive traffic to survive. Don't think when tweeting where they will buy, if and when. Real fans will always stick to you but yon the other site oung men like to "jump" around" once here on SC then on other sites or profiles.
Hahaha my husband just says that is like real life the over 60 stick more to one - smile
Abby,
I'm not disagreeing with your thoughts at all. I do understand the importance of advertising.
However there are some who enjoy social media and there are others who don't.
I happen to fall into the second category. I don't use social media as Serena, nor do I use it in my regular life.
I prefer the one on one more personal interaction that this forum and email provides. And I appreciate the fact that word of mouth from one human to another is a very strong force in advertising. Sure you can post something about yourself on the web in various banners, posts, likes, tweets.......
But a recommendation from one guy to another about you carries more weight in my opinion.
With that said,
I do appreciate all those who enjoy social media and spread the word about SC with their advertising. I don't disagree that my site probably does benefit some from that advertising. However, I think each of us has something to offer in order to keep SC a popular site. And to be successful at something, I believe you should do what you enjoy. For me that is this forum. Spreading word of this forum and encouraging more fans and charms to utilize this part of the social media landscape
I think this forum offers a more real environment for fans and charms to interact with each other. As you say in Twitter, you put a sign on the door type of thing. My goal would be for this to be a place to learn about each other. As I've stated earlier, it's "one on one" type of thing, and mass social media is more of a group thing.
With that said, I don't believe any of us "walk alone" in this big big land of the internet. We benefit by the sheer size of the SC site and the amazing business sense of the owner who provides us with this amazing platform to share our sexy sides.
Thank you SC! With over 800 charms on the site, each of us brings something to the table in our own way, either with our bodies, our personalities, our fetish styles, etc. which has allowed SC to continue to grow over the years, even with all the competition.
So again
I say thank you to the tweeters and the facebook, Instagram, googlers etc...….And
thank you to the loyal fans, and
thank you to every charm who puts herself out there on the big wide web. Each of us provides advertising in one way or another.
