In many ways It's better! It's cheaper, more animal friendly & fits so tight.
BUT, I do love leather because of its look, smell and associations for me. But I wear Pleather a lot especially because it can look just like leather and is a lot cheaper!

Synthetic leather has the advantage that manufacturers can make all kinds of garments with it. There are some garments that couldn't be made with regular leather, and it also fits much more closely to the body. And finally, it's considerably more economical.
