I cannot believe we are on the rise again. Everyone please
stay very safe, mask and wash those hands. We are seeing symptons like
a runny nose that people think are sinus infections but they end up deathly
ill.

much love from crazy Florida

Yup! It's getting like that out in the West Coast too. Be safe out there before going out in public :X

I'm in WI. The thing with us is the cities got hit hard, but the more rural areas barely got hit. So they kind of been ignoring everything. And now it's exploding. I'm in the city, but my parents are in a small town that had only 8 reported cases before June, and over 250 since.

Dallas County, Dallas TX here.
It's just unbelievable.
Thousands of cases here. Over 500 a day now. Just in my county.

It's a virus that is not going away anytime soon, and social distancing seems to have been forgotten by some.

I agree, our county has been open just two weeks and it seems all safeguards are being ignored by some. My granddaughters and I have been doing store and errand runs for others for three months. We have seen it all. Last week a gentleman who we buy for, asked the youngest (10) to take her mask off and smile for he and his wife. She refused, and then he reached out like he was going to unmask her. She kicked him, and of course he got mad. We went for haircuts today at a salon, and they have strict rules. The gal cutting my hair said if I chose to do so I could take off my mask, I told it was fine where it was. I then told her this...I am not the only one sitting here, everyone I have been in contact for the last couple weeks are in this chair. If one of them was infected, they could have infected me, and I could pass it on to you. We have a nursing home that had zero cases until this month. Rules loosened and those that work there went out and about. Now there are 50 residents and 8 staff infected. Err on the side of caution.....Please everyone be safe...

You are absolutely correct. I wish everyone could understand this. I don't get it, why some are so oblivious to this nasty virus.

My dad is in a nursing home. It was free of COVID. It's not now. He has alzheimers, it's been a bad year, my mom died last July, they were married 60 years. He's now in a nursing home and I can't visit. And I can't tell him there's COVID in there with him. It breaks my heart. I wait for the call, for them to tell me he's now sick......

Good for her! Anyone that doesn't respect her bodily autonomy should get kicked, and I'm glad she knows that at such a young age. It is very kind that you've taught them about service to others, though. I'm sure they'll always remember how they stepped up with their Granddad to help others during this time.

I've been self-quarantining since early March. It frustrates me to see my peers going out and about. I can't tell you how many times I've been invited to some social event or another and had to explain "No, I'm still social distancing. The risk is still too high." I want to get out and enjoy my Summer as much as everyone else. It just infuriates me that we could have been done with this if everyone just stuck to it long enough... instead they're drawing this out so we're probably facing another few months of quarantine. Those who did it right from the beginning are having to deal with even more months of loneliness and boredom because of those who refused to quarantine at all!

Agree, everyone has to stay safe. Wear masks where or when needed.
Just as important is not to panic.
Now a bizarre thing I've noticed when googling for "459 new cases"
then I went to google for 567 new cases
also
7364 new cases
[enter random digit] new cases

Try this little experiment on google.
Think about the millions of results and the titles of the articles.
Is this bizarre or what do you think of it?
Just questioning, doing diligent research.

OK, stay safe everyone!! ;;)

Wow that is scary. I am in Nueces county and we have been lucky to have relatively few cases but they are now on the rise. Today they had to cancel testing because supplies ran out! STAY SAFE up there in Dallas and to everyone around the US!
