COVID Poll - Part III

How worried are you about COVID?
I'll freely admit, I'm anxious about it. I self quarantined for three months and have only recently begun to occasionally venture out. I order my groceries for pick up and go thru drive thru fast food places, never going indoors. And I've only been in a grocery store three times since March 13. Which apparently isn't such a good thing now with Texas having a lot of cases daily, over 8,000.....over 1100 today just in MY county! When I had to go to the doc about my bone fracture in my foot, I was REALLY anxious about it...….
So what about you?

I'm pretty worried to be honest beautiful. Like it is with most of the country, the numbers in Ohio are going up again. So far everyone I know has been lucky and it has not effected anyone. I've managed to dodge the bullet so far myself. I have to be out in the public 5 days a week because my job requires it. I do everything I can to keep safe. I just hope my luck continues to hold out. Please remain safe Serena, your family as well. Please give my best to Rigger X.

You can count me in the MEGA worried group. The more one learns, the more one has reasons to worry. The virus mutating, attacking different organs. The lack of any organized response. The lack of truth regarding what is going on. Early on if a person got sick at home and wasn't tested, they were not counted as having the virus, and if they died, weren't counted on the death rolls. Live next to a small county, they got cleared to open up. A small surplus store we frequent, employs Mennonite girls as state. The owner had the girls stop wearing masks, then people from other counties came shopping and within 10 days of the all clear 1 third had the virus, now it is close to 80%. So it is still spreading. Then what seems like half the people recovered have lingering health issues. So very serious, like the marathoner who still after two months has serious breathing issues...yes I am MEGA concerned....

I'm with ya, MEGA concerned.
Although I'm under 60, I do have some "underlying issues" as they say.
I'm nervous whenever I have to go out.
And this week will be bad. My grandmother, who's 99, has several dr. appts she has to go in to, not telehealth. And I have to go with her. Geez, I won't be touching a thing!! I'll be staying away from everyone and definitely will be masked up.

I am not really concerned (i wear mask but not gloves) I wash hands after I shop or touch anything and if we have a scare we stay away from a relative who will contract it very easily. My husband is working on a new addition to one of the hospitals near by so always worried about that part.

Im cautious , i respect that i may come into contact with people that it may harm, even if it doesnt harm myself,so out of respect for them
I remain cautious, going out as little as possible, wearing the mask, washing my hands and monitoring my health.
prayers to all !! be safe !!!

If it wasn't for the [social] media shoving it down my throat every few minutes of the day, I'd likely not be a little worried.

2 friends of mine reached out me the other day and told me they were starting a band and wanted me to be in it. I thought it may be fun to get out of the house and rehearse with some old friends. I told them I'm down, but I'd be wearing a mask cuz I'm on the job hunt and can't afford to get sick. They told me they have 4 shows already lined up. All at indoor places. Fuck that. In my opinion that's just irresponsible. I can't be involved with that. I understand that they want to get back to normal and make some money, but right now is not the time. People love live music, but after a few drinks social distancing goes out the window. Plus as a performer microphones scare me! If 3 or 4 bands are on the bill, everyone is talking into this thing and getting all their little spittle spray all over it, then the next person comes up and puts their face to it. It's a recipe for disaster.
But them and other bands will still keep playing because they can. And folks will show up cuz they can. And all those folks will just make it longer before we can ACTUALLY get back to normal.
I love individual rights. But folks don't understand community rights. It makes me very sad.

I tested positive at the beginning of June. I am doing fine. I didn't need to go to the hospital so I was lucky.

I'm glad your doing well. We have to be extra cautious as to my other half is building on a hospital and have had 3 or so tested positive (thank goodness that they were in another part of it). But also the hospital is taking in covid patients. Be careful out there.

I originally voted "mega" worried, but over time, I think my worry has decreased a little. It's becoming the new norm I guess.
A way of life.
I'm still very worried and wish it wasn't here, but I'm doing better at not letting COVID control my life.
I'm just taking more precautions now in order to live it.

We live in really rural Area. There are not many people currently sick. We can go to the grocery and only see 2 other people even without distancing. I would surely be more worried if we lived in a city or suburb.

Thank you! My daughter actually got it first, then me, then my husband. We were worried about my husband because he has underlying conditions. It seemed to take longer for him to get over it completely than it did me and my daughter. My other kids tested negative.

I'm a little worried, but staying as safe as possible. I've been back to work for months. We have strict restrictions there. At home we pretty much stay around just our little family.
