So why did SC get rid of soo many charms today? A few of my fav's were gone :-( any chance to get their pictures before they go into the proverbial rubbish bin?

Well, that's cool, great idea, more power to the active Charms. Unless I missed it though, I don't see a link anywhere on the main page.

Some big names there, too. After the Camilla shocker from yesterday, I sure wasn't ready to see Reese gone too lol.

It looks like any charm that has updated in within the last thirty days is gone. I see a lot of my long time favorites are gone.

So, are they "gone gone" or just on probation? A couple I had on my favorites page hadn't updated in 3 or 4 months but I emailed them and they replied so they hadn't quit outright. Is it possible some girls will come back if they send in and update within X number of days/weeks?

Yep, they will be back on the main page once they update.
Email those charms and ask them to update!!

LOL good one! Yep they are on probation. Check the link that says Inactive on the main page next to SC1 | SC2 | SC3 | etc. They will remain here until they post a new update. Our customers can still access their pages, the inactive charms just will not be part of SC advertising.

Thanks,
William

This Is An Awesome Idea. It Gives A Reward ToThe Charms Who Update Regularly, While Still Keeping The Rest Around For Their Fans. Thanks For Doing It.

On A Related Note, A Big Thankyou To All The SC Staff As Well. This Us A Really Great Site With Som Awesome Amatures On It. I Know That I Really Enjoy T, And Its The Behind The Scenes Fills ThatNever Get The Credit, Bit Make The World Go Around.

I can understand wanting these charms the stay active I remember when a charm had to update regularly to keep from being removed permanently. So if an inactive charm updates the they go back to the main page again? I suggest going further if some one hasn't update in over a year drop them altogether. I would think for whatever reason they aren't coming back. Also If some one comes back why not allow them to put content from their old site back.

Charms are allowed to use content from their old sites when they come back. They just can't use it as "NEW" updates. But they can post it as BONUS updates. They can post as many bonus updates as they want. :-)

She's retiring her site.

Thanks Violet. Did she give a reason?

She asked that her site be removed for personal reasons without going into details.

As to all the other Charms - most have just basically retired in placed. They were not updating their sites which was not fair to the other Charms who do update regularly as well as to the fans who keep checking for new updates. Therefore, we moved them to a new page labeled as "Inactive." The link is on the main page to the right of the regular sites. All Charms on the Inactive Page can be moved back to their regular page just by sending in a new update. If any of you have a favorite amongst the Inactive Charms, please drop them a note and encourage them to update to be moved back among the active Charms.

It was a shocker to me cause she was the 1st Charm I ever joined, she updated regularly, & was very popular (many of her vids were on the all-time best selling list). Didn't see it coming at all, another one of my favorites that I don't have complete now, oh well my own fault.

Thanks again for making the inactive page instead of just taking them all down, LOVE it!

Tell that to Atiyana, who is posting only stuff from her old times. I Will not pay twice for the same old stuff.

I don't know, 'Inactive' indicates second-rate to me. As a customer, you know for now that you aren't getting any new material. Odds are you won't get any interaction if you try to E-mail them either. And they don't show up on the profile search either, so you have to click on each one to see info on them.

On the other hand, there are a lot of long-time Charms on the Inactive page who have/have had a lot of fans over the years and I would think have been very good for business. Only my opinion, but I think they have earned the right to keep their site up, especially if they have a lot of updates. I also think this is more than fair to the fans/collectors who have supported them in the past and who now still have an opportunity to complete their collection. As for the ones on the Inactive page with very few updates, I see no problem with letting them go. In the most extreme case, if there are only 3 updates & nothing else in over 2 months, I can't see anyone joining at that point.

Well said Mick!
With some of my fans I have great contact, and noone of them would join an inactive girl with less updates. And inactives means what it says, "you can join, but dont expect to see more". Best solution :)
