Emailing Charms - no reply?

For a while now, I've tried emailing certain Charms that I've emailed plenty of times before and either never get responses or it took them forever to reply. Yes, I realize life gets in the way and they can't always respond immediately but we're talking weeks, sometimes months, before getting a reply. Lately, it seems like my mails are just getting ignored.

Since girls use their own email accounts - Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc. - I suspect that maybe my mails are getting sent to their spam filters (those things aren't perfect) which means that it doesn't do me any good to email them to tell them to look in their spam folder for my mail, so we basically have a "chicken and egg" syndrome happening.

Is there some kind of "internal" SC mail system where someone can get a message through to these Charms for me?

Some charms simply don't reply, honestly. I hate to say it :( If there is someone on the Fan Box who you'd like to chat to, you can send her a message through here. That's the only suggestion I have. Although my guess is that most of the charms on the Fan Box would reply to your email :p

Being a charm now for almost 13 years, I answer every email I receive.
On occassion an email might not get to me. I have heard from people
saying they had written and there is no email in junk, spam or inbox.
So I always tell them, if you do not get a reply, please resend email.
Now with the fan box a private message is available also. I also have inst. mess.
I am on mini chat and chat room too. So pretty easy to be found.
Hugs, Alexus Lin

Personally I reply to my emails constantly, they even get sent directly to my phone so I can reply asap! I also check my spam folder daily. However, that's just me. I have the free time to do this.

Some Charms are just really busy. If they aren't replying for weeks or months it's probably because they have a lot going on in their personal lives and don't have time for emails. What may seem like a little email to you really adds up when we get tons of them a day! Once I didn't reply to my emails for a week (I was out of town) and it took me two hours to reply to everyone!

But I guess also if a girl doesn't have time for you, and that is what you are looking for in a membership, then she isn't the right Charm for you. :)

That IS a shame. ): I treat my members way better than I do anyone else, and I'd like to think I'm pretty nice to everyone else already! haha. It IS a job though, some girls just want the money. I can't dock 'em for it. It's just not my thing.

I have noticed some of the charms who have stopped or slowed updating in a lot of cases stopped replying to email as well. I think there a someone that are easing themselves away for SC and their fans. It could be they are just overwhelmed by the amount of email so they do nothing. I think some charms have just walked away from their means of communications with fans. I know of at least two charms that have Yahoo groups the have been updated in three years. I tried to post a message and found out the message has to have moderator approval. This means that there are three years of message sitting and waiting for approval. Nobody is paying attention. I don't know if it's a burnout factor with the lack of attention or maybe the money not what it use to be so they don't want put the time in. Some of the charms I know told me in the late 2000s they were making enough money to pay a mortgage and more, I don't think thats the case there days.

I have 3 different email accounts for SC, and I do answer them ALL. However, hubby and I also have our own home remodel and repair business which I help him out with A LOT. This means that sometimes I can answer emails right away, but a good part of the time it may be several days before I can answer. Only because I'm too pooped to pop after working construction all day. :d I love getting the emails, and I'm very lucky that my fans are very understanding when I can't get to them right away. Doesn't mean I love you any less. ;) ;;)

Sometimes it's not worth a Charm's time or effort to keep updating something. I personally have a Yahoo group that I don't update ever anymore because it never helped with sales. It just gave me a LOT of spam. And I do mean spam. Fake lotto winnings, penis enlargement, the works. S P A M. Sometime it's just not worth it to keep up with. However I NEVER think it's not worth it to answer our emails.

I had a couple of yahoo groups in the pass and to keep the spam out takes work. A group that requires moderator approval means it will just sit in a static state until a moderator does the housekeeping. I think they don't want to keep it up then just delete the group.

No I meant spam straight to my email address. Every time I posted I'd get waves of spam. Yahoo is being a jerk and making it hard for me to delete my page. I never really understood why Yahoo groups were a thing anyway. It's just a LOT of emails to your inbox and a hassle to even see pictures when they girls have TONS of pictures on their sites already. Plus with this forum up and running it really seems pointless to post them on Yahoo too.

I'm not going to name names but two of the Charms I emailed do regularly update - they're not on the "Inactive" page. In fact, both updated this past week. They've also answered me fairly quickly when I've sent them mails in the past. That's part of my confusion - why is it taking them so long to reply now? I've also been a member of both their clubs multiple times (not recently as money has been tight) so it's not like they don't know me.

In the early days of the web there was a search engine before Google called Excite. Excite was a rival to Yahoo back then and Yahoo had a small number of groups Excite had a lot more adult clubs eventually yahoo bought the Excite clubs. The were a big in the old days when web pages needed progressional designers and host costs were out of the reach of most people. It was a place for people to have a community around a common interest. The problem there are thousands of abandon groups out there. I figure at some point Yahoo will remove the adult groups just like MSN did about 5 years ago.

Yes but it's not the early days anymore. I mean I don't see the point to them NOW since they are so rarely used. :)

Like I said, sometimes girls are too busy. I know girls who update regularly but even THAT is hard for them and they don't have time to answer emails. Also some girls don't want to make friends with their fans, they just want more money, so they only answer emails that look like a custom order or a gift. :)

Honey, you hear nothing from them replying, or mailing at first?
When a fan or member writes, I am answering him always, as long as it is no massmail, I hate mass mails.

Personally I never ever write at first to anyone, total discretion, you dont want to be caught with a mail from a charm when your lady or boss is around ;)

I fully acknowledge the "balance SC with real life" factor - not complaining about that. I don't expect an instant reply. I just start to wonder what's going on when it's been three weeks or so since the email in question and in that time she's updated her site a couple times a week and even posted on here a couple of times. Obviously she still has internet, still has time to shoot and upload pics, and still has time to browse around here every now and then. At that point, there's obviously some other reason why mail is going unanswered.

If she's active on here maybe try to shoot her a PM here? Just don't over do it. I also have had fans that email me constantly and even if they really have the best intentions if I'm busy and I come back to 10+ emails from a guy it's a little annoying.
I mean, I don't mind chatting with someone or if they reply quickly or anything like that. I mean when I get a BUNCH of emails asking me to reply faster, where I'm at, or the same info over and over. I got it, I'm just busy dang it!

That goes back to one of my original concerns. Most girls use one of the common free email services - Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc. I use them too, and sometimes legitimate mails get sent to the spam filter. My concern is that maybe my mails are getting sent to her spam folder and she doesn't look there for my mails. So emailing her doesn't do any good because the mail telling her to check her spam folder will ALSO get sent to the spam folder...it's an endless loop.

I do reply to all emails whether they are members or not but members get preference of course. I do not have a separate email address fore members because it is not guarantee that they are still a member - they could go on using the member email long after they cancelled membership.
I am sorry you are having problems - why don't you send the charm a private message on here?

I have yahoo and hotmail also a special members email. I pay for them. I do not
use the free email. Pay emial allows me to send or receive large files and also it seems to be much more
accurate then the free emails.
Amazing at it is, most members and fas will still email me at my reg. email address
on my Free side, rather then the email i put on members side. Its funny how I get
maybe one or two emails a year in my special members email account.
The other thing I answer all my emails, Members and Fans. Then using the Instant Mess.
programs, yahoo and msn windows live, AOL, the sc chat room and mini chat I get to chat real time one
on one so I do not have to reply to so many emails I reply on chat programs. It works well for me.
We all have our own way to connect with members and fans.
