US clocks forward

I see in the USA the clocks went forward over the weekend. Ours (in the UK) don't change for a couple of weeks. Have never understood why we cannot all do this at the same time! Can anyone explain why not?

I wish it would be constant , I always have trouble adjusting my sleep each time it changes. Have a wonderful day.

I hate doing it at all. I wish we didn't have to do it and I admit, I don't understand the science of it. Apparently there's a good reason for it......................right?
