Think that it would be nice to share a few quotes on nudity and nakedness, and even lovemaking.
Please chime in with your picks.
“To be naked is to be oneself.
To be nude is to be seen naked by others and yet not recognized for oneself. A naked body has to be seen as an object in order to become a nude. ( The sight of it as an object stimulates the use of it as an object.) Nakedness reveals itself. Nudity is placed on display.
To be naked is to be without disguise.
To be on display is to have the surface of one's own skin, the hairs of one's own body, turned into a disguise which, in that situation, can never be discarded. The nude is condemned to never being naked. Nudity is a form of dress.”

To be really medieval one should have no body. To be really modern one should have no soul. To be really Greek one should have no clothes.
— Oscar Wilde, 1854-1900, Irish writer

Oscar Wilde has to my favorite person to quote on almost any subject. My 2nd wife wanted to go to Paris, and I said only if we could visit his grave.
Wilde also made the comment....."Full frontal nudity is reserved for Adam and Eve". he also said and it is true "Women are meant to be loved, not to be understood".
Honore de Balzac said "A naked woman is less dangerous than one who spreads her skirt skillfully to cover and exhibit everything at once"
I am not sure who said this, I am told Mae West, but I have my doubts ..."I think onstage nudity is disgusting, shameful and damaging to all things American. But if I were 22 with a great body, it would be artistic, tasteful, patriotic and a progressive religious experience".

Lovely.
Shelley Winters said this.
“I think on-stage nudity is disgusting, shameful and damaging to all things American. But if I were 22 with a great body, it would be artistic, tasteful, patriotic, and a progressive religious experience.”

Thank you for the correction. I had been told it was long ago, and with Ms. West's experience in stage and theatre, I just always believed it, but was never sure. I love Mae West, for she should be considered a national treasure in America. In 1926 she wrote, produced and starred in her own pay entitled 'SEX", on Broadway. Her show was raided after religious groups complained. She was sentenced to 10 days in jail. She could have paid a fine but refused. Served the entire 10 days, with at least a couple perks, she had every meal with the warden and his wife, and was allowed to wear her own silk undergarments, rather than the burlap prison issue.
Mae West also said this, and I think it is true, well was for me...… "Men are like linoleum floors. Lay 'em right and you can walk all over them for years".

You're welcome. And after reading your post, I've been digging for a few of her quotes.
“When you get the personality, you don’t need the nudity.”
— Mae West
Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?
To a young actor: How tall are you without your horse? Six foot, seven inches. Never mind the six feet. Let's talk about the seven inches!

David Allio Is the first artist in residence at Thomas University in Las Vegas, Nevada. I add two of his quotes on the subject,.
When women pose thoughtfully and artistically - in nothing but their bare skin - they find themselves. They discover that they are truly alive. They become a Nude.
Naked is a human commodity. Nudity is God's art.

“Sometimes I like to run naked in the moonlight and the wind, on a little trail behind our house, when the honeysuckle blooms. It’s a feeling of freedom, so close to God and nature.” — Dolly Parton

There is more to sex appeal than just measurements. I don't need a bedroom to prove my womanliness. I can convey just as much sex appeal, picking apples off a tree or standing in the rain. Audrey Hepburn
I feel most charms can relate. A lot of these updates. Your sex appeal shows doing normal every day task.
