Ms. Serena, my coldolences on the loss of you mother. There is no lonier feeling in the world than to lose your mother, the one person who is always there for you. I love my mom to something similar to a stroke some years back. To honor her I wrote the following, It a called a Mother's Prayer. I hope in it you might find some comfort even if for a brief moment.
Dear Lord, shine thy love ore my beloved children's lives
Touch their hearts and souls with your word, as you have mine
Guide them please as they walk on the road to happiness,
Cause them to laugh often , so up in heaven I may hear their joy
My Lord, dry their tears, when they are anguished and ache
Strength their wills and convictions, to avoid the world's evils
When their burdens be great, let them not stand alone
Help them as they learn to carry the load that be their destiny
Dear Lord, Allow them to hear the sweet song of true love Heal their hurts, and sufferings of the spirit
Show them the way to true and pure love, so they not travel alone
Give them the courage to love others, and be loved in return
Allow them to carry a deep love of life, and passion for all things just
Lord, let them see the meaning of life
Protect them from the evils of strife
Guide them gently along the path of your ways
I will pray that for them Lord, each and every day
My Lord, hold my children in your bosom as you lead them on
Give them the gift to see in your word the meaning of life
Guide them gently in all they do, allow not the conquest of their souls
This I will pray for my children each day of their lives.
My sweet Lord , I pray these things be made right for them
Help them to seek friendship from others and be friends to all.
Allow them to seek out the kindnesses of loved ones who hold them dear
Lastly, let them know their mother loves them dearly and is never far
