We have lived in the Southern part of the US for years, and only once in all those years did we actually have snow. Does it usually snow during your winter?
In some ways I miss it as 70 or 75 on Christmas Day doesn't seem very "holiday-ish"
But I don't miss the white-outs, blizzards and below zero temps of "back in the old days" when we lived up North. Guess you can't have it all!!

Dallas area here.........and I totally agree with you that it's not very "Christmassy" without snow, but I'm used to that. I had one "white Christmas" when I lived in Denver, CO and they had a blizzard! But mostly I lived in the Mojave Desert in SO Calif and places where snow isn't common. Although a few years ago we had alot of SNOW & ICE here that closed everything down for a week. That was awful! No power, no heat, it really sucked, so I guess I'm totally ok with sunshine and 70's at Christmas

The area where I live in southern Spain has a relatively mild climate. The last time it snowed in my city was in 2010, but the snow didn't accumulate. The previous snowfall was in 1954, and that time it left a significant amount of snow. I didn't see it. I was still six years away from being born.

The last "proper" snow we had here in the East of England was c.12 years ago where we had a fortnight of it. In this country we all [sort of] want a white Christmas and the snow falling is rather idyllic, but the reality is cold rain and temps around 3ºC to 8ºC. In other words, just plain miserable with a touch of frost here and there.
The last time it snowed here though was at the beginning of December 2020 and I rushed to do a YouTube Video for my channel and a set of pics here for Charms (Set no.1422) before it melted. Luckily I'd only just put up my Xmas decs the day before so everything looked really authentic.

I live in the Eastern Midwest United States. We had a lot of snow at the beginning of December. Christmas Day is supposed to be in the 60's with rain. I cannot remember the last time we had a white Christmas. Snow always seems to come when it is not wanted.

Only once in a blue moon do we get snow on the ground but we do have it up in the mountains which is so pretty to look at. We are actually supposed to get a huge rain and wind storm for Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas to all
