In her memory

I learned last night that an icon of my youth past. She owned a local eatery and bar with her husband, and he died way too young back in the 70's. She led an amazing life, but I will always remember her for the ribald sense of humor she had. I was but 16 when I met her. I was smitten by her then....she was a cross between Tempest Storm, and Miss Kitty from Gunsmokeā¦a voice that was soft and lilting, sweetened by brandy and whiskey. She was talking one day about her two passions, cigarettes and sex. Some asked if she lit up after sex... she didn't hear correctly, and asked him to repeat himself. he asked , "Do you smoke after sex", and she replied "Baby Doll I sizzle during sex......
