I'd love to hear what Charms/Gents and fans think on this topic. Do you prefer to look at somebody's SC site that has crisp, professional photos, or do you prefer a girl who has amateur photos that are clear, but obviously not top quality? I personally think that it doesn't matter so much as long as the girl is cute and is creative with her poses and themes. It's definitely a turn off when a girl shoots in the same place with the same poses just in a different outfit : / But then again, maybe some guys like that as long as the image quality is good?

I'm with you. I think clear, creative spaces and outfits with a cute guy or girl is much more fun. Though the occasional more professional update can be fun too.

Quality is important but not necessarily "professional". It's best to see the girls having fun and being creative

You've gotta admire the really professional pics for the quality, but sometimes I quite like the 'impromptu' sets. As Innes says, you want to see some creativity, and above all you want to see a girl enjoying herself. These pics last a lot longer than the shoot did (no pun intended), so if she's not enjoying it, was there any point doing it.

A horny guy like me imagines having sex in nearly every place, so being able to see a girl in plenty of different locations really works. Having said all that, I have tremendous respect for all the hard work that goes into these, not only from the charms but the photographers too. Us guys have the easy bit

I love when people are themselves more than anything. A lot of new places are awesome but if it feels/looks fake or forced it's a huge turn off. Sure having the girl on the same bed all the time might be a little boring, but if it's her bed and I was actually doing what I'm fantasizing about it probably would just be on her bed over and over. Unless the girl is adventurous! The overly "professional" looking photo shoots are fun from time to time but if they are always that way it bores me and looks fake. I want to see the real girl more than anything. She doesn't have to be over the top, she doesn't have to be straight laced, she just has to be herself and having a good time.

I like crisp photos and not so crisp girls if that makes any sense. The later is where reality comes into play, the former only helps you appreciate it better.

These days good photos are more a function of the camera than the photographer. Having spend a lifetime shooting film this is hard to say, but it is becoming more true than I would like to admit. There is even a new camera where one can change the focus in edit.

Lighting is still important, but you can seldom go wrong with natural if it is diffused. Harsh lighting can be dramatic, but is seldom good. But the hardest part of any photo is the subject. All I can say is have fun, I think most of us like to assume you are.

Having started out with film myself, I know what you mean. Back in the day we had to know our Fstops, aperatures and more. Now the camera does a lot of the work. For SC it may do enough, but a camera will never replace an artistic eye.

Fortunately, the rules of optics and composition haven't changed, regardless of the medium that is put behind the lens. I've always wanted a fully manual digital, myself, but those things don't exist, outside of a 5K film back for a Hasselblad.

I loved film for the flexibility of it. I love digital for able to take many pictures in a short period of time. I could probably do with digital what I do with film if I just had the patience to learn Photoshop. But then, to me anyway, once a picture has been altered in anyway other than cropping, it's now digital art rather than a photograph. But then I do nature photography, not people (normally).

DSLRs are fully manual...in fact in some ways are capable of being more manual than film SLRs. With a digital you can change the ISO setting on the fly, without having to change the film in the camera. This can be very handy when going from one environment to another.

Personally I hate Photoshop...but let me explain. I think it is great for creating graphics and publications etc...but I hate the fact that people create photographs using their camera, then manipulate the hell out of them with PS, then take credit for being a great photographer...when the reality is, they aren't a great photographer, they are a great Photoshop user. I am not referring to things like blemish removal for portraits and other things like that...

So I guess it's not really that I hate Photoshop itself, it's what people have done with it that I hate. I mean, if you Photoshop the picture and someone says awesome photo, atleast have the decency to let people know you modified the photo with PS.

AGREED. And there is nothing wrong with being a great photo shop user, just own up to it.

I prefer the almost professional shot, if we are talking technical quality - focus, hi-res, light, such basics. But it can get too professional, esp when much Photoshop makeup is applied.
All that has to do with content I prefer to be amateur: the model (!), the poses, locations and backgrounds, props, all.
The real pro porn or glamour is so boring!! Dont copy it! We have seen it all before!

Make up your own act. Let your inner image come out.
Or dont act, just be yourself.
(That's what makes SC worth spending time on.)

To be honest i think guys just want to see some muff.....

Amateur shots give that just "girl next door" impression.. can be seen as... Leave the poor blokes thinking they are in with a shot of one day shagging you...

Professional shots raise you to unobtainable...nice to look but not as naughty....

Well this is what I try and aim for , as that is what we do , just me and my partner taking our own pics and videos .

I have had some sets done by a guest photographer done on a proper camera with proper lighting but we actually prefer our own shots , it shows that I really am an amateur which surely is the whole point ? Why come on an amateur site and expect studio quality presentation ? , I just dont get it .

My partner said that he prefers the more amateur women on SC himself as it shows that they are real people and not just anonymous glamour models.

Another thing is cost , we would love to have a fancy camera with all the bells and whistles and top notch lighting and equipment , but it aint cheap :evil:

I think the only problem we have is locations , we only have som many rooms in our house :lol:

and being from the U.K we dont have the best weather in the world so it can be hard doing outdoor shoots and stuff.

Anyway theres my two pence worth xxx

Oh Hunny I agree I Love making up my own stuff as I go along. It is so much fun to create a look,a story,,have lots of fun doing it.
That's what it is all about being here on SC.

Depends. Sometimes I see a Charm's site with an appealing thumbnail but the photo turns out to be all blurry. A couple that I joined seemed to have half the photos in every update totally blurred, usually including the "money" shots where she finally got fully naked.

At the very least, don't upload the ones that came out all out of focus (and I"m not talking about artsy depth of field here, just a plain bad photo). It would hurt an update of 50-120 pictures to lose 10 that didn't turn out. Better yet, have the photographer check and re-take the ones that didn't turn out.

I tend to leave in most of the pictures taken. There are times though that I've had a few blurry parts with the rest of the picture being fine. Like my hair moved or my arm moved or even I jumped so a bit got out of focus but the majority of the good stuff is still in there. When I am shooting with others we tend to be having a lot of fun so we never end up totally still as we are doing things.

It's kind of "split the difference". Obviously shots have to be properly framed and in focus or they're a waste - that's just common sense. Not everyone is a pro and can get that "ultimate" shot but as long as you're at least trying, I'll give credit where it's due.

As far as locations, some girls may be exhibitionists in private but are shy about doing it outside where the wrong people might catch her. Others may be limited in their alternate location choices because they live in a small town or would need permission to shoot in certain places. And still more may have just not learned how far they can take this concept yet and what kind of new locations they can use. It all depends on each girl's individual circumstances.

And I'm with Beau Jingles re: Photoshop. It's fine for fixing minor problems or adding an artistic flair now and then but if it's a horrible shot without PS, no amount of post-fix is going to make it acceptable.

Personally I don't like to photoshop my pictures at all. It makes the whole thing seem fake to me. I'd rather have my fans for ME, not my editing skills. But that's just me. :p
