Another year has come around. I truly can't believe how fast time just seems to be zipping by. Unbelievable.

Well Dallas survived another storm, mild, but kinda early in the season, I think. Even though most things were only shut down for two days, it sucked. My pool pump ran almost constantly on freeze protect, and I'll probably faint when I see my water bill cuz I had to keep the water "dripping" in all the faucets. I'm glad it's over. But we'll see if it comes again in February.

I managed to use the time trapped in my house productively I should stop it there and let your minds imagine that I spent those hours being a horny sexual nympho, fucking and sucking in all sorts of newly invented positions. So for him to sit and let me read him this manuscript is amazing!

So I'm back to copyediting ROUND 2.
Condenseing, making clear.. Removing some double instance of duplicate descriptions etc. One day, I'll have it polished and ready to go. Fingers crossed.

I want to get it finished though. I enjoy doing it, but I have a few other things I want to get done. My laundry room reno is calling my name, AND I have an idea for an amazing Halloween prop for this year: PORTAL TO HELL! I want to built columns with styrofoam, and arched door thing. Put a projector screen over the opening and use a project to project flames, fire, whatever looks like hell onto it and put that in my graveyard. I think it would look so cool!

Thankfully, because my husband isn't interested in reading, books, tv or movies, but instead enjoys building things, he'll be able to build this for me with no problem

How were your holidays?
I'm glad they are over. Ours were good, but I'm just glad to be done with them. They end up being alot of work

I had to get my dog a muzzle...........NOT because she bites. She has what's called PICA. She eats anything and everything. NON food items included. If she had the chance, she would eat nails, glass, screws, rocks......you name it. Because of this I haven't been able to take her for walks and she's gained a little weight. Well I guess it's ALOT of weight for a dog who now weighs 18 lbs and should only weigh about 13 lbs. Especially since she's 51% Chihuahua My vet had to order one for me because I couldn't find one that fit her small face correctly. Today we plan to test it out and take her for a walk

Anyone have any NY resolutions?
I'd like to lose a weight. But I can't say I made a resolution for it. I already quit smoking, I don't drink. So I decided to make an effort to be nice and not dwell on negative things. Not sure if it's my age causing it or what, but it's actually easier to be nice than not. I can't cure homelessness or solve the worlds hunger problem, or save every animal from abuse......now that's a downer subject, but I can make a little difference in my world. Giving a blanket to a homeless person, or packing them a lunch. The animals? Unfortunately I have to turn away from that. Breaks my heart, but I'm helpless to do anything. And I simply can't think about it. You know those ads on tv during the holidays from the SPCA? OMG I have to turn the channel and it sucks when I can't find the remote!!

Hi!! It's been awhile since I posted, time just got away from me! So here it is a month since I last wrote and it seems like alot of things have happened since then. I finished my laundry room - but if you watch my site, you already know that because I posted an update I shot in there already And recently my back door was installed. Well it's not just a door, it's a side window and then a door combo thing. The one I had was a prior owner DIY gone bad. The door was 1/2" too small all of the way around, plus it was ugly and had a homemade doggie door in it. My new door is gorgeous! I got to design it on the website of the company that I got it from. Now I just need to get it painted. But it's been so cold here that I have to wait for a little bit before we paint the outside of it.

I completely finished my book. I did 4 copy edits on it! OMG I almost know that book word for word by heart! I've begun submitting to literary agents. Wish me luck! Oh, and I started on a new book

Lately I've been watching alot of those "found footage" horror movies. I love the alien abduction ones I got rid of cable about a year and a half ago, and since then I've been subscribed to a cable companies streaming package, but I decided to get rid of them too! I just don't really watch alot of network stuff any more.

I'm hoping this bad cold weather we've got coming this week will be the end of winter! I'm so ready for the summer and pool time!

I think it's been awhile since we've caught up with stuff......meaning, it's been awhile since I've gotten on here and shared my day to day life things.
Where to begin? Well I think the cold weather has finally left here in Dallas. I hope it has, because last weekend I got my garden all planted. I'm doing my usual tomatoes, yellow squash, cucumbers, radishes, those things always do good for me, and I'm trying iceburg lettuce again. It flopped last year. The plants were big but they never formed "heads". I'm not doing watermelons again. I got alot of watermelons last year, but none of them tasted any good. Besides, those plants take alot of room. This year I'm trying peas again too. I didn't get too many last year. Oh, and I'm trying broccoli. I've never grown that before. I'm not doing potatoes, two years ago I tried them and they were tiny little marble things, and I'm not doing carrots. My carrots turned WHITE! I know there are a variety of carrots that are white, but mine shouldn't have been white. Garden is done and OF COURSE, on the forecast for this afternoon is potential for severe thunderstorms with HAIL! That's spring in Texas I guess.

I've got my yards ready for spring, I planted some new fake flowers in my pots...................

The live plants are so expensive any more, and then they die in the extreme summer here, besides bringing in wasps and bees. So I've got fake ones in my pots

I'm still on the hunt for a literary agent. I've given myself 6 months and if I can't get representation in that time, I'll self publish. They say - not sure who in the world "they" are, but they say it usually takes 60-90 rejections to get an offer of represesntation. I have 12 rejections so far. Looking for literary agents is time consuming, but I think I'm getting the hang of writing the query letter, and all the things they want in the "proposal" from me. I will admit, my novel is hardcore horror, meaning it's written for adults, not porn, although there are some sex scenes in it. It's graphic and gory and does contain violence. I have body horror and subjective horror and themes not normally considered in a horror manuscript. So in searching for a literary agent I have to disclose "triggers" my manuscript may have - rolling my eyes at that one - but it's what is required nowadays. I've really got a twisted imagination

I've been watching the Bald Eagle Camera from Big Bear, California on youtube. I used to live there back in the late 1990's .... my husband and I had a little 1960's putt putt boat we used to go "trolling" for trout in several mornings a week. I always tossed my trout back. I don't eat fish, bleck!!! Anyways, there are two eagles and they had three eggs hatch last week! Those little eaglets are so cute!

Did you know?? I'm going to be 64 this September!!! I saw a joke the other day, it said "I used to think Old Age was all in my head.......But now it's in my joints!" Crappy knees are my enemy. My doc asked me if I participated in alot of sports when I was younger, he said my knees are worn out like an athletes. This is true but funny. I told him, Nope, I ran track in Jr High, but wasn't able to do sports in high school due to an illness. BUT, I told him, I imagine my knees are worn out because I used to be a finatic about cleaning my house. AND I had to mop my floors every day, ON MY HANDS AND KNEES with a rag and a bucket, not a mop. Yeah, those days are long gone, and I use a mop now, but apparently my OCD about house cleaning wore out my knees and I'm paying for it now.

I'm late this year on planning my Halloween. I keep telling myself I need to get started, but haven't gotten very far. I want to build an 8' tall scarecrow and set it by my werewolf and evil pumpkin head animatronic, and I really need to get it started. I'd love to make a "portal to hell" but I think it's beyond my abilities. It requires a faux brick arch, a platform, and projector and you project onto the black projector screen a thumb drive of hellish scenes. It would be really cool, but........eh, not sure I have the time for it.

I've changed shooting days. I used to shoot my content on Saturdays or Sundays, but now I've switched to Thurs or Fridays. Hoping to be able to take advantage of the neighbors being at work so I can shoot in my backyard. Fingers crossed!
