Hi charms and administration.
There are so many exciting charms here in SC. We the fans dont have the time to follow all of our favs as members all the time. I am sure most of us have a "waiting list" of charms we want to join soon.
Comes the day we want to join one of these - and she is not to be found. Then our desperate tears are in vain. She is gone for good.
So what can we do?
Charms that plan to close could have a warning with her free pics saying "this page will be closed on january 30th" or "in two months" or something.
Giving herself a chance to get the last business, too.

I once got my money back from the SC adm without asking for it - when a page was closed soon after I had joined.
Such a warning could save the adm the trouble.
If a charm has say 890 updates when she plans to close, it will be plenty of value for my money. Even with much less, if she has many quality pics in each update.

Dear adm, if you think this is a good idea, you could spread it with the info you give to new charms, or send to your charms mailing list.

It's sad to lose business, and sadder to miss a great charm site.

I think the shutting down of a charms site is at the up to the charm. Some gave a long notice like Abbie most just seem to disappear overnight. I think what happens in some cases someone the charm knows sees site that they don't want to see the site like a relative or friend or coworker. Then they scramble to remove their presence from the internet. I've talked to a couple charms who said they left because they did want their grand kids to find out. My rule of thumb is if a site is not updated regularly I figure it's a matter of time before it pulled. I been looking at a few sites that I want to join before they go away.

Yeah, this would be a great idea, in the ideal world.

However, most charms don't "plan" to quit. There is often something that gets in the way (usually friends, family, or work finding out). And when someone finds out, the page has to be closed ASAP to protect the charm in her personal life. She can't just continue updating for another month or two. Her job may be on the line. Something else in her life may be at risk because of the site.

If I knew in advance that I was going to quit SC, I would definitely give my fans advance notice. However, if something came up in my personal life and I had to quit asap, I just couldn't do that. Unfortunately, it is that reason why the majority of charms have to leave SC.

We have to remember that most Charms leave because they don't want to be in porn anymore. So selling their stuff more and raising the risk of being posted for free somewhere else might frighten them. It would be nice for the fans, I know I'll post on my page in advance if I ever decide to leave, but it's personal choice. And being on SC, for the most part, is about the girl's personal choices.

Yeah. I understand that in such cases of emergency they want to close the page right away. I wasnt aware that the contract with SC allows that.
I thought some models just got tired of shooting and posting all the time. Esp maybe if they have few members joining. That would be frustrating, I guess...

Yeah, it sucks. That's the hard part about soo many awesome girls being on sc, they all have super different lives.

Sometimes Shit just happens...........and the charm has to leave.

I've been on SC for 8 years....THIS TIME.

I was on SC as Velvet Gal before that for only a few months. I don't "stockpile" photos. So when I was Velvet Gal and got sick and had to have surgery, I closed my site down since I wouldn't be able to update for awhile. I didn't think it was fair to keep it up without updating.

So it just depends on what's going on in the charms life.

Alot of times the charm has to pull her site because of divorce and child custody disputes, or employment problems, etc.
They can't "slowly" close it, they just have to have it shut down asap.

I'm pretty sure she can only re-add sets as member bonus updates so be sure to check her updates often.

Yeah. Unfortunately not everyone follows the rules and unfortunately it's impossible for the uploaders to catch everyone who is naughty. But it's not a super big deal, just the rules.

In the past when I have joined a new charms site that only had 3-10 updates when I joined and they did not update at all during the first month or two of my membership, SC has allowed me to switch the remainder of the membership to another charm of choice. I thought this very nice of them. However, when I joined a charm that has many many updates and they stopped updating I always stuck it out with that charms as they have an abundance of shots there already...most of the time if they get 6 months or more without updating they soon end their charms period. There are quite a few that have been a year plus without updating (and some really nice ones too!) that I often wondered why they remain on charms since I'm sure there is some type of fee. On the other end I had one that I shot with that after only a month of not updating she pulled off the site and she had about 70 or so updates.
Either way, all the charms are MUCH appreciated!

Only difference is that there are no free photos in a bonus, they're reserved for members only

Yup - a bonus update is for member's only. If you aren't a member, you will only get to view the small thumbnail. All the pics are for the members.
I typically only do bonus updates when I have a "different" fetish (one that I think many members will not enjoy as much) or one where I don't have quite as many pics as a regular set. So I include them as bonuses so that my members still get the usually 2 sets (or more) per week
