Breast Cancer

Today's set, no.871, marks the first set I've shot for SC since losing both my breasts to breast cancer back in May 2010.

Needless to say, I didn't think this day would come back in Feb 2010 when I was diagnosed as my future was uncertain. Now, nearly 7 years later I've been given the all clear and my NHS surgeon as well as myself are very happy with the results of the reconstruction.

[I think] I've been on SC for 15 years now and I look forward to bring at least another 15 years of content, both old and new, for a further 15 years to come.

Thanks for the messages and emails of support.

After the expanders were swapped over for silicone in 2011, I had a good look in the mirror and realised my new boobs looked out of proportion with the rest of my body so I lost 2 and a half stones and hit my target weight. I've put about a stone back on now, but I'm comfortable with my current size.
