Mini-chat - scheduled chats?

I'm sure everyone's noticed the real time Mini-chat down at the bottom of the forum main index page, right? I've noticed that who's in there and when is very "hit and miss" - understandably as 800 girls and all their fans obviously all have different schedules of when they're available.

How about coming up with some kind of once or twice a week scheduled chat - times when Charms and their fans know they'll have a reasonable chance of syncing up?

I think it's a really good idea! Due to my busy schedule, I'm not sure how much I'd be able to schedule time, but I still think it'd be awesome! It'd be good to make sure people are confirming what time zone they are in.

I am in for it too but my chatting would be more during the day! So anytime between 10 and 2pm.

Having a home business, I'm available more or less anytime - I'd be willing to host/moderate chats if TPTB at SC could grant me some kind of control over it.

Not sure at all why you do not like the chat room, I have used it almost daily since it was added
like 10 years ago.
I have gotten many members over the years from chatting in there.
The mini chat is a bit harder to have conversations on, then the chat room. The chat room
allows for private chats so if i have members that want to chat I set up times with them to meet in the chat room
some do not have instant mess programs and want to private chat. Not easy to have a conversation on the mini
chat the way it is now. Can you imaging 20 charms all trying to chat with there fans and members on the mini chat at the same time.
Or is the mini chat going to become like the chat room with private mess. also.

In the chat room, the private mess. can only be sent by charms and gents no fans or members
can send PM. That was removed a few years back. That has made it easier to chat because the option is
the charms or gents if he or she wants to PM.
I have told many fans and members about the forum and a few have signed up, but they said there not
into forums.
I have been in chat room and have chatted with a few different people, charms and fans today.
I am also signed into forum and not one person has been in mini chat but me. I have been on both for over
2 hours.
I guess everyone has there own likes and dislikes. Some love forums and some love chatting.
I am a chatter since I have alot of time to do so. Being retired and having a husband with lou gehrigs disease
we do not get to go away much or out and about to often so chatting and my site keeps me going.

Hence the reason for this thread. Unless each girl was to email all her members and fans/non-members ahead of time, there's virtually no chance of any particular girl/fan getting to chat. Having scheduled chats at least increases the odds because then girls and fans will know to check in at specific times.

Love the idea of telling members and fans our scheduled times we will be in the forum, i do that now with Members
and fans and let them know when i will be in the reg. chat room. So letting them know when I am in the forums
mini chat is also a good idea. I Never said it wasn't a good idea.

Hung, I think this is a great idea! I've only chatted in the mini-chat a few times, but I've really enjoyed myself on each occasion!

I've created a poll to see when forum users are most likely to be using the mini-chat so that maybe we can get a better idea of when "high traffic" times are:

I also figured that if I could moderate the chats then the girls would be free to talk without having to fight off the troublemakers.

That's a good start!

If I may make one suggestion to all the girls - posting that you'll be on "today" is a bit short notice. Keep in mind that some people don't check the forums every day. Plan your chat times a couple of days out to give people time to find out about it and adjust their schedules if necessary.
