Anyone have kids going back to school?

whether you are a fan or a charm, having a child that must go to
school is beyond stressful. I am lucky enough that I now have two
college online students because their Universities have yet to open
BUT I could not imagine having a lil one going to elem. or middle school

I have a 7 year old grand daughter that will be going back soon. Needless to say I'm very concerned about her well being as we all know how kids can be. I just don't understand why more people aren't taking this more seriously. As always, stay as safe as possible.

Taking care of two grand daughters while their mom is working in Greenland. Ages 10 and 13. We spoke about this all summer. I told them they could decide, but if one went, both went. They decided they want to go but with the lack of clear decisive leadership (my words not theirs) on the subject at almost every level, they decided that in their own best interest, online learning would be best. Since school closed in March, they have been helping me run errands for neighbors , family and friends that can't or choose not to leave the house. They have seen a lot, and do not trust people to do what is best. As Liz the youngest said of my generation, "Its like the old farts don't care what happens to us younger generations."

The first two are, finally, out of school.
The twins have just graduated grammar school and will start their college life in two weeks.
One may worry about many things but this won't help the kids much.
Prayers will.
Let's just wish that our kids, or grandkids, will have a happy new school year.

I have a child doing grade 8 this year. I have started him already as there is nothing that the school system can tell me to make me believe that he will be safe at work. There is no way they can watch for my child's safety on a regular day. I mentioned this to the board as of October last year.

The schools are not built to be small groups of students. They are babysitters with as many as they can per class.

The closer we get as a race, the further we get in separation and confusion. The priority is our kids. I am glad I am self employed. I can take the time to teach my child as well as afford to ask for help where needed.

We opted to home school this year with all the mess. We may have bit off more than we could chew but we are gonna try it.

It's all kinds of stupid and it's forcing so many people to choose work or stay home to help the kids do school

my guy wont be going to school he will be remote learning from home... i can't send him till things are under control

My kids all went back but the school is half capacity. They gave option of home school and going to school

We have 3 little ones and they are doing all their schooling online this year. I am so glad for that
