Soon we will be empty nesters. It feel so odd but fun at the same time. Thinking about shoot with no worries if I need to pick up someone from school. Little one home sick when I had things that needed to get done. I will miss having them home but it's a whole new world.

How did you get use to be an empty nester? I need tips on how not to miss them and what fun things I can do now.

I’m no where close to being an empty nester as my kiddos are still small but at least you can be naked around the house when ever you wish!

I am very excited for that. Need to get some new curtains on some doors and I will be all good for that.

I suppose the relationship you have with your children will influence it. My husband and I had a pretty tough time when we were left alone for the first time (he had it worse than me), but we did our best to minimize the impact. In return, you get several things that you appreciate over time: more peace of mind, more free time, more independence...
Over time, you get used to it, but keep in mind that they can come back at any moment...

My kids always have been quite independant. It's a good thing because many parents overprotect them, make them scared about everything and then later on they see treaths everywhere. I will always help them, support them, ... but they have their own life. They are always welcome !
