Mini-chat - scheduled chats?

I'm sure everyone's noticed the real time Mini-chat down at the bottom of the forum main index page, right? I've noticed that who's in there and when is very "hit and miss" - understandably as 800 girls and all their fans obviously all have different schedules of when they're available.

How about coming up with some kind of once or twice a week scheduled chat - times when Charms and their fans know they'll have a reasonable chance of syncing up?

I think it's a really good idea! Due to my busy schedule, I'm not sure how much I'd be able to schedule time, but I still think it'd be awesome! It'd be good to make sure people are confirming what time zone they are in.

I'd be on board but remember I'm one of those that is any where from 5 to 9hrs ahead of everyone so I'd be a night timer for most of you But I do agree, I think it'd be better used in the main chat system rather then the smaller one, It is only meant to hold so many messages back and is really mean as a quick chat system. Not sure at all why you do not like the chat room, I have used it almost daily since it was added
like 10 years ago.
I have gotten many members over the years from chatting in there.
The mini chat is a bit harder to have conversations on, then the chat room. The chat room
allows for private chats so if i have members that want to chat I set up times with them to meet in the chat room
some do not have instant mess programs and want to private chat. Not easy to have a conversation on the mini
chat the way it is now. Can you imaging 20 charms all trying to chat with there fans and members on the mini chat at the same time.
Or is the mini chat going to become like the chat room with private mess. also.

I remember when the chat first went live, I signed up for it too, way back when.
I have been in there, more in the beginning than recently. I don't think I've been in there in two years?

My reasons for not liking it is that everytime I would log in, I would be slammed with fans IM'ming me to private chat with them. I would have so many windows open on my screen I couldn't keep up. It was nerve wracking! I didn't want to be rude, but I wasn't enjoying myself either. However,I do remember that it was changed so that fans couldn't initiate a private chat or IM or something to that effect, and I honestly haven't been back to see how those changes worked out.

So my impression of that chat was not a relaxed fun thing. Maybe it's changed?
When I'm chatting, I want to be myself and enjoy the "chat". Whether it's about my site, or something in the news, or just chatting about something trivial. I don't want to fend off those who just want to get me to cyber with them.

When I tried to log into it the last time,2 years ago...... it wouldn't load, saying my java needed to be updated. Even with attempts to update java, AND getting two new computers, I've been unable to get into that chat since. So i quit trying.

That's why I don't like it.

Additionally, I hang out here, and would love to have more fans hang out here.
The private chat isn't something I'm too interested in. Although I won't cyber with fans in chat, I will dirty talk and explore fantasies with my members. <the whole age verification thing>.

Even if you prefer the other chat, the original posters idea of a "scheduled chat" section is still a great idea........for this mini chat, or the full SC chat that you're referring to

Who knows, maybe with implementing a schedule, I'll check out the other chat again and see if I can get in? A private chat with members may be fun - alot more fun than naughty email corrospondence

In the chat room, the private mess. can only be sent by charms and gents no fans or members
can send PM. That was removed a few years back. That has made it easier to chat because the option is
the charms or gents if he or she wants to PM.
I have told many fans and members about the forum and a few have signed up, but they said there not
into forums.
I have been in chat room and have chatted with a few different people, charms and fans today.
I am also signed into forum and not one person has been in mini chat but me. I have been on both for over
2 hours.
I guess everyone has there own likes and dislikes. Some love forums and some love chatting.
I am a chatter since I have alot of time to do so. Being retired and having a husband with lou gehrigs disease
we do not get to go away much or out and about to often so chatting and my site keeps me going.

Having scheduled chats at least increases the odds because then girls and fans will know to check in at specific times.

Love the idea of telling members and fans our scheduled times we will be in the forum, i do that now with Members
and fans and let them know when i will be in the reg. chat room. So letting them know when I am in the forums
mini chat is also a good idea. I Never said it wasn't a good idea.

I totally agree Hung8Tung and that's why I've asked admin to start a new section entitled "Scheduled Chat" or something like that. It could be utilized for EITHER the mini chat or the full/private chat. It would definitely make things alot easier for meeting up with each other

Hung, I think this is a great idea! I've only chatted in the mini-chat a few times, but I've really enjoyed myself on each occasion!

I've created a poll to see when forum users are most likely to be using the mini-chat so that maybe we can get a better idea of when "high traffic" times are:
