My ree was hit by Lightening! & I broke my ANKLE!

I have five gorgeous trees that line the side of my home and the prettiest one was apparently hit by lightening last night......and I woke up to this. Had to get out and get some branches cut off so my husband and I could get it out of the road. Waiting to contact an arborist this morning to see if I can save the remainder of the tree. I'd really hate to have to have it removed

And my day only got worse. I had the tree removal guys here, they had to remove the tree entirely. So while they were here I decided to BREAK MY FRIGGIN LEFT ANKLE...................seriously.
I stepped out back to take my dog potty and don't know, I must've stepped wrong, and I seriously broke my left ankle. Down I went. The pain was horrendous! So I'm back on crutches with a "boot".............and it's not even a sexy boot The good news, is doc said I'll be healed in time for the bash!!!

So sorry about your ankle, hope it does not nurt to much now, Knowing you the boot will not stop you from doing anything you want to do and you are still GORGEOUS with a boot on!
Sorry about your tree but that is great that you will be ok by bash time!

I am so sorry to hear about your ankle!!! I am very happy it will be healed up in time for the bash though!! In the mean time...... need a nurse? *grin*

I friggin panicked when I did it.....lol Started counting the weeks in my head til the bash!!! But doc says 6 weeks, so I'll be fine in time

But I'd still take you up on the nurse offer

My tree's gone.........it's empty on the corner now .........I loved that tree........
And my ankle is absolutely gross looking....... But surprisingly the pain is extremely limited. I have this big "walking boot" thing on and crutches. And it really only hurts when I move it..........sometimes it gets loose in the boot thing and movement does set me on edge........
And you know................Lianne does live close to me..........
